Conclave

What is Conclave?

The Section R1/R2/R3 Sectional Conference (also called “Conclave”) is an event that runs from Friday-Sunday somewhere in Section R1/R2/R3 once every spring semester. Brothers and pledges from all the Section’s chapters & extension groups get together to do service, build leadership and enjoy fellowship. The usual schedule of events includes various fellowship events on Friday night while chapters are arriving, service projects and workshops on Saturday morning and afternoon, followed by Section and Region business meetings, a banquet & dance on Saturday night, and wrapping things up briefly on Sunday morning before everyone leaves for home.

More than this, the R1/R2/R3 Conclave is an opportunity to learn about the Fraternity, and your local chapters. Many chapters deal with the same types of challenges and enjoy the same kinds of achievements, so you have much in common with them. Additionally, it is an opportunity to do service and learn something at the workshops (many things you can bring back and share with your chapter). You get to meet and talk to staff members- sometimes even National Board members. Your pledging members will enjoy meeting pledging members from other chapters and even attending workshops with topics specifically directed towards their needs and questions.
