Awards

The purpose of awards in Alpha Phi Omega is to recognize chapters and individuals who have done outstanding volunteer work for their community, campus, youth or for the Fraternity and who have exemplified the cardinal principles of the Fraternity.

Region R Awards

Region R Distinguished Service Key

A key hung from a red ribbon, engraved with the name of the recipient and the date of the presentation, awarded to a Brother for exemplifying the cardinal principles of Alpha Phi Omega and unselfishly providing exceptional service to the Region over a sustained period of time. This shall be the highest award the Region may present. No recipient of this award may receive it a second time. Self-nominations shall not be accepted.


Robert J. Hilliard Award of Dedication

Awarded to a Brother who demonstrates commitment to all three cardinal principles of Leadership, Friendship and Service at a Regional or National level, who encourages leadership development, service opportunities and brotherhood bonding in intra-chapter and/or inter-chapter settings through attendance and support of other chapters’ events and inter-chapter activities. A nomination is required for consideration.


Region R Leadership Award

Awarded to a chapter in Region R whose chapter program has exemplified the cardinal principle of Leadership. A nomination is required for consideration.

Region R Fellowship Award

Awarded to a chapter in Region R whose chapter program has exemplified the cardinal principle of Friendship. A nomination is required for consideration.

Region R Service Award

Awarded to a chapter in Region R whose chapter program has exemplified the cardinal principle of Service. A nomination is required for consideration.

Region R Be a Leader Award

Awarded to an active brother in Region R who has exemplified the cardinal principle of Leadership. A nomination is required for consideration. Self-nominations shall not be accepted.

Region R Be a Friend Award

Awarded to an active brother in Region R who has exemplified the cardinal principle of Friendship. A nomination is required for consideration. Self-nominations shall not be accepted.

Region R Be of Service Award

Awarded to an active brother in Region R who has exemplified the cardinal principle of Service. A nomination is required for consideration. Self-nominations shall not be accepted.

Region R Scouting & Youth Services Award

Awarded to a chapter in Region R that has shown outstanding involvement with a scouting and/or youth services organization. A nomination is required for consideration.

Outstanding Volunteer Team Member Award

Awarded to a non-active volunteer team member who serves the Fraternity by serving either as a member of the sectional volunteer team and/or the regional volunteer team who has provided exceptional service in their volunteer role. A nomination is required for consideration. Self-nominations shall not be accepted.


Region awards may be given at any area conference or national convention.

Any chapter or individual brother can nominate a chapter or individual for an award. Instructions are simple!
